Methods

Pacific-Tier Communications follows a logical and detailed plan in learning about your business and overall objectives.  Once we fully understand your objectives, then we'll work with you to determine the best technologies to apply to your organizational planning.

In some cases Pacific-Tier may act as your consultant in dealing with other vendors.  A large integration project requires a good knowledge of not only technology, but also business process, industry trends, current innovations, and the client's long term vision.  Fully appreciating the extent of a project is not possible without establishing a trusting relationship, which requires Pacific-Tier to become part of your team - not simply a vendor or consultant. Our success must be directly linked to your success, anything else is not acceptable.

Pacific-Tier will produce a detailed proposal for all projects.  This helps protect our clients by clearly addressing all project objectives and deliverables.  Following acceptance of the Pacific-Tier proposal, we will prepare a project contract or work with your company to use your contract template.  Our intent is to limit the length and cost of any project by clearly listing all deliverables, and strictly following both budget and project milestones.  For more information on proposals click HERE

The following are steps we take in all projects.

  • Discovery or Diagnostic Interviews
  • Setting Project Objectives
  • Determining Best Architectures
  • Designing Technical Solution
  • Solution Approval
  • Implementing Solution
  • Training
  • Handover
  • Ongoing Maintenance and Support

In all cases a technical solution is not considered until we fully understand the objectives of your company or organization.  Far too often we try to use applications or technologies only for the sake of first mover status, without any clear idea of what that technology will accomplish, and even if it may ultimately serve to be disruptive or destructive to the company's efforts.

Pacific-Tier is a technology company, staffed with professionals who have implemented some of the most complex and scaled network solutions in the world.  The lesson we have learned above all is...

"Don't implement technology and try to model the business against technology - rather understand the business and implement technology as a tool that allows you to meet and exceed your organizational objectives."
